Elephant Run –  Exciting news in the music world this year

The band - a Swede and four experienced Brazilian musicians,
prepares the release of their debut album in 2017.

The year is 2015. From Malmö, Sweden, to São Paulo, singer and pianist Amanda W Plantin has a handful of great original compositions, dreaming of seeing them come to life in a band. Meanwhile, the experienced alternative musicians from São Paulo, Fernando Coelho (guitar) and Ladislau Kardos (drums) are looking for a new project to put their ideas and pieces in. From this explosive encounter, between Brazil and Sweden, Elephant Run was born, which got it's final form in 2016 with the transformative input of DJ Ismael Sendeski and bassist Renato Cortez.

With an ambient, atmospheric sound and existential lyrics, the group dives into the erudite, jazz, progressive, psychedelic and trip hop, creating incendiary and urgent music.

"Elephant Run“ their debut album, will be released in 2017 and it will show what the band is all about. "Castelo" is an unusual encounter between Pink Floyd and the brilliant scratches of Sendeski. "Go Home" on the other hand brings back cabaret to the 21st century. Echoes of Portishead can be perceived in the beautiful "Fernanda". The trilingual "Copo Sujo" (dirty glass) - sung in English, Swedish and Portuguese (!) shows Amanda's lyricist genius. The instrumental "Ding Dong" highlights the musical talent of Coelho, Cortez and Kardos, artists who, together with Sendeski, were part of important bands in the national scenario, such as Seychelles, Mamma Cadela, Monique Maion, Heroes, Cerebro Eletronico among others.

Elephant Run had several shows in São Paulo, performing on stages such as Z Carniceria, Associação Cecilia, Neu Club, 3pra1 Festival and Casa Levi's.

Do not fool yourself. Elephant Run is the most gratifying musical surprise of today.
